Preparing and Maintaining Your Glow​

​Preparing for your GLOW​​ . . . 

Shower and exfoliate your entire body before a bronzing session. DO NOT use moisturizer until after your post-bronzing shower. Lotions can act as a barrier and prevent the solution from contacting the skin. The same applies to the face and makeup. Wear a dark colored bathing suit or your garment of your preference to tan in. The solution washes out of most clothing very easily, but tends to stain silk, light nylon materials, and wool. Bring loose clothing and sandals to your appointment. Tight fitting clothing will prevent the bronzing solution from setting in and may rub off. Wait at least 6 hours before showering after your bronzing session. You need to allow enough time for the reaction to take place, the longer the better. Apply moisturizer, morning and evening, after your post-bronzing shower. Hydrated skin maintains a longer life to your GLOW.  We recommend Amber Sun Body Scrub by Norvell.



Maintaining your GLOW



Your skin type affects how often you need to bronze. Dryer skin exfoliates faster, so hydrating with lotion between sessions is essential to keep your GLOW alive.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moist-urize. Schedule regular bronzing sessions.

DO NOT sit directly on leather or light fabric seats and furniture after your bronzing session. Sit on a towel or cloth instead. Taking long hot baths or swimming in the pool can accelerate exfoliation and fade your bronze. Do not exercise immediately following your bronzing session. Excessive perspiration can affect the bronzing process and the end result of your bronze. DO NOT use lotions with AlphaHydroxy Acids; their purpose is to increase exfoliation. Know that their use will accelerate the fading process of your GLOW. When you take your post-bronzing shower you will be washing off the cosmetic bronzer that Norvell puts in their solution for immediate results, you will see this color washing off the first time you shower. DO NOT be alarmed; this is just the surface color that was applied. Your skin will continue to GLOW as the DHA reaction occurs on your skin.
